Pathetic. Laker's reasoning is, "Damon > Ginobili". Why trade Webber and Salley for decent players, a pick, and a player at a position you already have locked? Although, I don't get it from Utah's end. Didn't he just trade NVE and others for Magic Johnson? Then Magic for Pervis, then sent out Pervis and Damon for a PF. Utah, do you have a PG? Do you just like dealing to make both teams worse?

Well considering that AI still doesn't equal playoffs I don't know what both teams are thinking. Damon is a turnover machine so more power dealing him for a dominant PF and a very good center. But now he has no PG to get the ball to Webber and Manu so who knows.

No, but he's still pretty TO prone. But a good trade nonetheless :/ he can sit on the bench behind a better player like JKidd, who needs Webber when you've got Damon off the bench???

I hate it for the lakers for one reason. Damon is a Fa. Why would you trade a star PF in webber for a guy that very well might not be with you next year? If the Jazz would of traded Salley for a decent pick or prospect I think it would of been good for them. As is having Manu and Webb for next year isn't bad.

Yeah Webber is a long term legit C... or at best a great PF... REALLY bad trade for the Lakers...
Good work Utah...
Got rid of Mighty Mouse for a future Hall of Famer...

Damon will be a 15 and 8 point guard his whole career. Maybe 20 and 8 one day, on a bad team. Webber will dominate for me and I'll take the power forward over the point guard any day of the week. I have a feeling that the 2000 draft will be a weak one but who knows.
