I like it for both, but more so me because I want to win and the expiring doesn't mean as much to me as Davis's rebounding will.

Well, I think it's an equal deal. I get a big expiring and you get the depth you wanted up front.

Yeah I agree fully with that. I just like it for me cause I'm going for the repeat. If I win it all again, maybe I'll make Sabonis a ring anyways since I love him.

I like it for the grizz. If the Wolves are going for expiring they could have at least gotten a 1st to go with it. Teams like the Nets would be a perfect fit for a player like Dale Davis. They should have at least shopped him for 2 hours..lol

I totally agree...Wolves lose on their very first deal, and Grizz take over the JScott role in scamming the new guy right off the bat. Not a horrible trade, but a clear victory for the Grizz.

I agree with the Suns, this deal would have been a lot better for Minny, same with the other deal. Both are rushed deals by a GM who has no understanding of how theleague works, which I why I specifically think this trade should be over turned.
It's quite one sided.

No it isn't john, this trade is very much even, no one would have given him a half way decent first and a good expirering for Dale Davis, he get's a replacement center in sabonis and still has a shot at making the playoffs with the expirering since there's no reason to tank without his pick.

Davis easily could have been turned over into a number of other more viable options. I know the Nets are looking, and a number of other teams (Lakers, Jazz, Me, You, 24 other teams) could have use for a C/PF who plays like Davis.
This trade isn't as bad as the Utah one, but it is fairly one sided. Sabonis is a shell of his former self and Davis is a great C/PF who isn't getting MAX and is the type of deal most of us would have taken on.

Yeah I'd have to agree...if things continued to get worst with the Laettner at PF, I would've tried to trade him to the Wolves in a deal involving Dale Davis. Christian may not be expiring but he's a two year deal. And also another thing to add to the new Minny GM is that free agency is a bitch in this league. It's not highly likely that someone can rebuild a team by signing a young gun in free agency because most of them re-sign.

Yes, but trades are not overturned on the could he have gotten a better deal front. They are overturned on the is this a "bad" trade? And honestly this isn't a BAD trade, just better off for me in the sooner, and gets him out of contracts of a team of guys he didn't want there.

Grizzlies got the better end, but I don't think it's voidable. I don't think the Wolves would've gotten a halfway decent first for DD.
