Perhaps, but, I helped a team with a great, great need for talent. It worked out for both of us. If you kept one of those picks outside of #9, you could've probably moved up to #6.... But either way I say the Mavs win this deal right now...in the future it could be a potentially different outcome.

I couldn't have moved up to 6, but I could maybe have taken what I offered to the Mavs, and moved up to 5 instead with the Wiz. I should have looked at that, but oh well.

I can see both sides of the argument, but I definitely think 11, 17, and Mobley more than make up for the talent drop off from 8 to 9.

No Lakers, the Cavs are right.
It's going to be Maggette at 8 and JCraw at 9, and while I think JCraw's stock has gone up and he will be a very good player, I think since Maggette is still being talked as a potential top 5 player that his talent is much better than JCraw's.
I was expecting Redd to fall to 8, which is still a nice improvement over JCraw, but I hear that Phoenix loves him and Odom is going possibly 5th, so I am totally set to take Maggette at 8!

I agree with the talent drop from 8 to 9 as well, but Im fairly new to this league and how commish's rate draft players differes from league to league so it will be intresting to see what happens.

There is a rather drastic talent decline from 8 to 9, unless someone doesn't make the draft and doesn't send a wishlist and the computer selects an odd player.

Yeah he's usually up on that, and I know he has been definately talking up Odom. I hear Maggette might be an option there too.

If the Wizards take Maggette at #5 that will put me in a pickel.

I have heard Maggette and Odom are being considered at 5, but with Odom being slightly favored. I dunno, I kind like Maggette, so I'd rather him not pick him so he falls to me Instead of helping out the Suns... ...TAKE ODOM!!! But seriously, Maggette is a strong SF/SG type who can score and attack the rim, perfect for my team. He is also a solid defender.
