Washington Trades Walker, Gets Harper By xXLtOmLiNsOn21Xx Washington, D.C. [AP] - Just recently, Washington traded starter guard, Darrell Walker, and a 1990 first round pick for Ron Harper. When Washington proposed this deal to the Orlando Magic, they were hoping that Harper would increase their amount of wins, and decrease the value of their pick. Darrell Walker didn't really want to be traded, but he didnt mind being traded to the Magic. xXLtOmLiNsOn21Xx said that it was sad to see Walker as well as the pick go, but he had gotten a liking in Harper and was willing to give Walker and the pick up for Harper. Harper said, "I can't wait until my first game in a Bullets unform. In practice today I really enjoyed myself, this team looks like it has a bright future. Hopefully we can win some games."
