The Kings have a shitload of points still because they don't spend too often. The King should gain another 100 points (which shouldn't be too hard to do) and raise Greek Shaq's inside and defense both to B. I already think that Greek Shaq was a huge steal at 12 or whatever that was since I had him touted as the 5th pick by the Nets in my mock draft. The Kings would be wise to juice up Sofoklis since he has the potential to be a dominant force in this league.
I also think that the Kings should try to move Ginobili and Ray Allen however they shouldn't expect too much for them. They might be expecting a combination of youth and picks but very few teams can offer that for them. Their contracts are huge and there are very few teams who can match them as well as give them picks and youth so it would probably be in the Kings' best interests would be to field the best offer possible and move one of them soon so that they can find a way to get another solid young player in the draft this year.
Golden State
What this team shouldn't have done was offer those ridiculous contracts to Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Gordon Giricek. These two are now basically immovable so they're going to just keep them and hope they produce. The Warriors need to put points into Ronnie Brewer. I personally think they should've taken Foye with their pick (and it's pretty obvious that it would've been a better choice with the way Foye has improved in training camp) but the Warriors can potentially make Brewer just as good or maybe a little bit better than Foye because of all the points he has. The Warriors need to put in maybe one upgrade (perhaps to Brewer's rebounding) into Ronnie Brewer. I don't believe that Ronnie Brewer is a franchise guy which is why I say they shouldn't spend too much on him. They're better off using one upgrade on him then saving up for the next couple players they get in future drafts because they could hit the jackpot.
Denver Nuggets
This team is probably one move away from getting the right player that can put them into contention. They've got to make a play at a player like Elton Brand. It probably will be hard for them to make contracts match because they dont' have too many big contracts other than Vince Carter. So to me, they can either try and make a play for a big time player or see if this team can make the playoffs again this year then wait til the offseason and see if he can work out a sign and trade to get some of those big salary guys. It's funny how a team's fortunes are changed once they land a franchise player via the draft and thats what's happened with the Nuggets since they've landed CP3.
New York Knicks
They don't really have to make any real moves but it's a suggestion for their lineup that I think they should make. I see that they're planning on starting Chris Kaman at center which isn't too bad but in my opinion, they should start Marcus Camby instead. Camby is a threat inside and outside and still quite the defensive player. He's still better defensively than Kaman and would definitely benefit the Knicks with his inside and outside offensive threat. The Knicks also could also explore the option of trading Kaman rather than Camby because it's very unlikely that someone gives them anything worthwhile for Camby. They're in the same situation as the Kings with Ginobili and Allen. They can't expect a very good combination of picks and youth for Camby because his contract is too big and there are very few teams in the league that can match his contract. The Knicks should probably explore the possibility of moving Kaman instead perhaps in a package with T.J. Ford to upgrade their point guard position. Kirk Hinrich in Seattle who is being actively shopped is a possibilty for them. Maybe they could pull off a Ford and Kaman deal for Hinrich, Humprhies, and a future 1st possibly with the Sonics.
Indiana Pacers
The Pacers should go on a fire sale like they were doing during the draft. Basically try and give their players away to the highest bidder instead of being stubborn and expecting something that matches their interests - especially with Shaquille O'Neal. Sheed and Shaq are probably going to be tough to move because again - they're getting paid a shitload. So for the Indiana Pacers, they should probably hope to see if they can find somebody who can match their contracts and move them for something before they continue to decline.
