Who in the league has the best team trio? Here are the best of them. Their are some other good ones out their but not as good as these three.
First Candidates: Miami Heat
Trio:Bryant Reeves, Rip Hamilton and Tony Parker
Combined Stats:
PPG: 64.4
RPG:20.7
APG:14.1
SPG:4.4
BPG:1.6
The Heat are one of the best teams in the East thanks to these 3 players. Rip Hamilton has came out and shown that he is one of the shooting guards in the league. Bryant Reeves is a great center to have especially in the weak East. He is going to be key for their success. Reeves was a great addition to this team. Parker was a good player and now that he has been upgraded he is a great player. It seems like he is blooming more and more every sim. Miami should have no problem resigning him. He is a great part of their future.
Second Candidate: Atlanta Hawks
Trio:Boris Diaw,Stephen Jackson, Deron Williams
PPG:63
RPG:19.6
APG:16.5
SPG:5.1
BPG:1.6
The Hawks have a great back court. Diaw is one of the best players in the league and he is only 22 years old. Deron Williams is showing that he wants the rookie of the year award real bad. He is playing like a champion averaging just about 10 assists per game his rookie year! Jackson is the same as usual. Mohamed is someone who barely missed the trio. He is crucial for this team and even though he doesn't score a lot he averages 4 blocks per game and 11 rebounds.
Third Candidate: Houston Rockets
Trio:Jermaine O'neal, Paul Pierce, Chauncey Billups
PPG:63.2
RPG:20.7
APG:14.8
SPG:5.6
BPG:3.2
That trio is carrying the Houston Rockets. Not mentioning Brad Miller this is one of best trio's in the league. Brad makes it a very dominate 4 players but this only counts toward 3 players. Pierce and O'neal are both great post scorers and Billups can really smoke you from the three. Billups has been passing the ball well and has really kept this team in tact.
Forth Candidate:Utah Jazz
Trio:Yao Ming, Kevin Garnett, Michael Redd
PPG:75.7
RPG:27.8
APG:9.8
SPG:3.9
BPG:4.4
The Jazz have one of the best trio's in the league and also have 2 other great players not mentioned. Chris Duhon who is out for the rest of the month is one of the best upcoming point guards in the league. Kevin Garnett is hungry to get another ring and prove that he can do it without Shaq. Yao is dominating is trying his hardest to help this team out. Redd is one of the purest shooters in the game and when he's hot from the field he never misses! The Jazz just traded for Chris Webber too. Their weak shot blocking should go way up!
5th Candidate: Los Angeles Clippers
PPG:64.7
RPG:22.3
APG:13.9
SPG:5.1
BPG:3.4
The Clippers have a great trio. But who knows how long they are going to last? Elton Brand and Keith Van Horn have been arguing the past few weeks over religion. Elton thinks Jesus was black and Keith thinks he's white so they have been arguing and they need to be separated. Bibby is their to stay though. He is one of the top point guards in the league.
6th Candidate:Portland Trailblazers
Trio:Carmelo Anthony, Jerry Stackhouse, Jason Kidd
PPG:70.3
RPG:18.7
APG:15.9
SPG:5.3
BPG:0.6
This team has the best record in the league right now. They are very dominate and their only loss came from one of the worst teams in the league. They have a lot of good players and coming of a frustrating defeat from the Hawks last year they are ready to come back and swarm to actually win a championship. These 3 players are going to do all they can. Their are a couple of other dominate teams standing in their way. Can these 3 step up?
Honorable Mention:
San Antonio Spurs- Too bad Big Ben is injured. Ben, Duncan and Kobe would have made this list no question.
Dallas Mavericks- They just slip out by a very small margin. They have a great trio but they are more of a balanced team that has 5 good players (Marbury is great) other than 3 great players.
Cleveland Cavaliers- They have a good trio but I don't feel Maggette does enough for them to be labeled one of the best trio's.
Indiana Pacers- I feel that Jameer isn't good enough to get Shaq and Sheed into the top trio's. He is still very young though and has a lot of potential. Expect them to be one of the top next season.
Los Angeles Lakers- They have a good trio but I just don't feel that the trio is their though.
