2007 First Round Mock Draft
1. Boston Celtics - Dwight Howard
Duh
2. New Jersey Nets - Joakim Noah
Slide Darko to Center and play Joakim at power forward - that's a great frontline.
3. Seattle Supersonics - Tiago Splitter
Could use a shooting guard too but Tiago is the best available guy at this position that fills a need for them. Best option would probably be to move the pick though.
4. Cleveland Cavaliers - Josh Smith
Smith is the next best available player - just a hair better than Marvin Williams.
5. Washington Wizards - Marvin Williams
Wiz need a small forward and Marvin is the next best available at this point.
6. Memphis Grizzlies - Marcus Williams
A true point guard would be better than Roy.
7. Memphis Grizzlies - Al Jefferson
They need a big guy.
8. New Orleans Hornets - Rudy Gay
Small forward is a must for this team on the rise.
9. Cleveland Cavaliers - Gerald Green
Huge steal here if the Green is still available here.
10. Los Angeles Lakers - Marco Belinelli
Need a shooting guard or a center but Belinelli would probably be the best available option.
11. Atlanta Hawks - Rudy Fernandez
Ratings are off right now but should be fixed to give him better hands....great combo guard backup option for this Hawks team.
12. Toronto Raptors - Brandon Rush
Just in case D-Wade doesn't re-sign.
13. New Orleans Hornets - Jackie Butler
Power forward is the next immediate need for this team.
14. Los Angeles Lakers - Al Horford
Horford could be a good backup power forward...potential starting caliber.
15. New Jersey Nets - Sergio Rodriguez
Just in case Leandro Barbosa doesn't re-sign.
16. San Antonio Spurs - Rajon Rondo
Been in need of a point guard for a very long time.
17. Minnesota Timberwolves - Corey Brewer
Shooting guard is what they need.
18. Indiana Pacers - Mirza Teletovic
Could use a small forward
19. Los Angeles Lakers - L.R. Mbah a Moute
Would benefit from drafting the best available player.
20. Milwaukee Bucks - Mustafa Shakur
This team has never had a real point guard...except for past his prime Damon Stoudamire.
21. Phildelphia 76ers - Aaron Gray
Lorenzo Snow is a power forward.
22. Sacramento Kings - Patrick O'Bryant
Best available player.
23. New Orleans Hornets - Robert Swift
Best available player.
24. Denver Nuggets - Kyle Visser
See previous two.
25. New York Knicks - Mike Jones
Who? MIKE JONEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
26. Los Angeles Clippers - Johan Petro
Their centers suck and Vin Baker is old.
27. Washington Wizards - Jared Jordan
Steve Nash sort of.
28. Portland Trailblazers - Tyler Hansborough
Will fit in perfectly since he knows how to win.
29. Atlanta Hawks - Marcus Dove
I don't know who else they'd want to take.
