After going 3-7 in the last ten games, The Toronto Raptors have hit the biggest slump of the regular season right when the most important stretch of their season is about to begin. "We just need to play better as a team like we've done in the season, every team has it's hiccups and this is the right time for us to start playing good." said Raptors Forward Kevin Garnett to the Toronto Media. Garnett missed most of the 1st half with a leg injury but now he is back better than ever but ever since his return, Dajuan Wagner and Kenyon Martin haven't been playing good at all, so much that the Raptors were considering trading at least one of them at the trading deadline but decided to stand pat. They also activated veteran guard Derek Anderson from the injured reserve to see if he coulda provided a spark off the bench to help the guard situation. "Right now, im just not getting my shots in, as playoff time is getting closer, it's time for me to fight harder to get back to where i know i can get to" said Dajuan Wagner about his recent struggles. The Raptors now play 7 of their remaining 8 games at home which should really help this team end the year on a high note, "Having a huge homestand like this to end the season should really boost this team confidence, especially when the fans know that they are headed to the postseason with a chance to win an elusive championship ring. " said Raptors Backup Center Brendan Haywood.
Right now, Head Coach Sam Mitchell has gone with a new strategy that really loosens up the team and could help for his guys to start playing their best ball once again. It wasn't too long ago when the Toronto Raptors were one of the worst teams in the league, now their just two wins shy of winning 50 games which really stands out after all those non playoff years for the Raptors and their fans. "You gotta give credit to the Raptors General Manager for turning things around here, getting rid of bad attitude players and just changing the image of the team, even if trading once known franchise player Dwayne Wade. Many thought his attitude really affected the teams chemistry.
