The Toronto Raptors had a tough ending to their season with a 1st round exit against the Washington Wizards who clearly before the series were the worse team out of the two. The next day, Raptors Veteran Center Bryant Reeves announced that he will retire after a great prolonged career and known for a gritty player who got it done when it mattered. The only knock on Reeves was that he never got the ring as he tried to go for it while in Toronto for the past two seasons. "I've decided it's time for me to leave the game i will always love for the rest of my life, Mentally i feel like 25 years old but physically i can't take the daily grind that involves being an NBA player. I enjoyed spending my last couple of seasons with the Toronto Raptors and with Coach Larry Brown who really did a great job with this team." said Bryant Reeves at his retirement press conference. "To end my career where i grow up is pretty bittersweet but it woulda been even greater if i had helped deliver a championship to Canada." added Reeves in the Press Conference.

In other Offseason Buzz, the Raptors were able to bring back premier point guard Jamal Crawford to a four year contract worth around close to 40 million. "Im glad to be back with the Raptors, I talked with my family and felt that my best opportunity to keep rising as a player is with this team and im sticking with that decision." said Jamal Crawford to the Toronto Press.
In addition to that, The Raptors were able to sign 28 year old free agent forward Jerod Jinks to the Mid Level Exception paying him around 4.5 million this season. "We're thrilled as a team to get Jinks as we believe he is a strong candidate to be in the starting lineup at the small forward position as we switch Kenyon Martin back to the Power spot." said Raptors General Manager Ed Rodriguez. "Jinks has showed us great promise in Training Camp and will be a key roleplayer in our success this season" added Rodriguez. Toronto was also able to bring back free agent center Brendan Haywood, signing him to a three year contract and also signed free agent forward Josh Childress to the lower level exception.
