Rockets have a monopoly on the big men. Nice trade for them. Milwaukee did get 2 lottos, though.

The Rockets are so fucked.
How do they plan on moving these contracts or re-signing their players... or are the picks just insurance for breaking the Hard Cap?
Bucks atleast cashed in and got two lotto picks, which is more than anyone else would have gotten for a player of his age, and caliber.

I really don't see how they got 2 lotto picks. The Nets are 25-25 this year and will only be better next season. The Jazz have Shaq. Eventually they will have to be able to add enough around Shaq to make the playoffs.

the picks the rockets gave up will be garbage im pretty sure..
That said im not a fan of this for the rockets either.. sure they added a talented big man, but now have put themselves in a hole with the hard cap.. If teams are smart they will not even consider taking the contracts of kemp, valde or zo unless he adds quality youth or picks to the deal. And what if these players continue to decline after this season all three did this past TC, if they continue to drop their limited value goes with it.. horrible

but then again with such a youth core and so many picks, i think he might be able to stand the hard cap

Well his idea is that he doesn't really need his MLE and LLE because they won't get any playing time for him anyways.
But...just because you've got two all-star caliber players coming off your bench doesn't mean that you can throw in scrubs into your rotation and expect to win.
