With Shaq, the Magic can win the championship for years to come.

This will be the 2nd unification of Shaq/KG that has dominated an ABCA league... Now... must talk to Nets about Francis

I don't like it for the Jazz. He's trading a bad pick for a worse pick and Shaq for a much worse player. It might make sense if he had his pick this year... or next, but he has neither.

It doesn't matter if I have my pick this year. Miami will be worse and he doesn't want to swap. Next year JO will be a lot better and I'm going to have a whole bunch of money to spend.

Because a ton of cap did alot for you this last season didn't it? The only chance you'd have to get a big FA is to be a winning team since most FA don't want to play for losing franchises, and this deal puts you into the lotto for years to come, but wait you don't have your own pick. Terrible trade, congrats John you win.

Basically he won't be Shaq, Utah went from strong contention this and next season to total rebuild around JO. Didn't he do this youth movement thing last season with Manu and CWebb?

Traded for Shaq, who was traded for a young guy and a backup big. Miami was dead on. I wonder if he'll trade JO for someone like Rik Smits or Derrick Coleman next year in hopes of competing, then dump Smits/Coleman for a top 10 pick in the draft. The cycle will continue, and the Jazz will continue to suck.
