Good trade for both teams. SAc got what he wanted and I got what I wanted.

Yeah.. Depends on what the pick looks like, but IMO overall we both got what we wanted.

I'd give a slight edge to Miami in this deal because Larry Johnson appears to be the kind of player who will be effective until he retires. His contract isn't all too great but none the less, he can still perform. The Kings basically get a mid first rounder for Larry Johnson.
He can still play Googs at SF though.

I'm giving the giant edge to myself here. I love Lj and i think he has some great years left. Secondly, this pick is going to be horrible.

Your pick is not going to be a ridiculously late first.
It'll be in reasonable range for Sacramento to package his pick to move up in the draft I think.

And to be honest.. nobody was willing to give anything for LJ at the time. All I wanted was an expiring an a decent looking pick for him. I also wanted to try and not make the playoffs this year, although that part of it hasn't been working out as planned as I keep winning lately

I know that. His contract sucks, but I wanted to attempt to win now. I believe it really was a win win because we both accomplished what we wanted. Man, I loved that Mario article .

I don't think LJ's contract is that bad because he's never going to decline to a point where he's going to be a useless player. He'll be useful until the day he retires.

LJ will be a star until he retires.. so as long as you keep him (and you might as well because you won't get nearly his level of talent back) you'll be a good team.

I'm keeping him. He's good to build around and having Rip young will be ok. I'll trade Parker for a good Power forward and a servicable point and i'll make my run.
