i think the edge goes to the knicks with this one. they can easily replace hinrich with their 6th pick and then add on with the 13, plus picking up kaman

BOTH.
Utah needed a PG, and Hinrich has the potential to be a great one. Plus he was loaded on bigs.
New York is in a position where the best player at their pick available will probably be a PG. So they can pick up the young big, and trade up 7 spots in the draft.

Yup I like this one for the Knicks more than the Jazz because they know that they can get a great point guard at the sixth spot....and they also picked up Chris Kaman who still be a very good big man in this league.

I don't think it's bad for either, but I think the Knicks make out sweet in this deal seeing as they can get a good PG in the draft. There weren't going to be really any good bigs at the spot he was picking.

Hopefully Kirk will blow up in TC. I had Haywood at C and have Emeka or Melo coming in so I don't really need Kaman.

I say both because they both filled their needs for their team

Hard to tell. Hinrich looks pretty sweet, however, Hinrich's stats are prety pathetic he doesn't even have a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio. In comparison, Kaman hasn't developed yet and Araujo hasn't either.
The main thing for me was to get value out my 6th overall pick in the draft and I got it. I guess the real thing that matters is who is doing better? I am doing worse than last year which is expected and the Jazz aren't doing better.

I think the only reason this is being discussed is because nobody usually posts on this board so, this keeps getting brought up again because it is the last thing.
