I think the Jazz did great here. The sonics stated that they got Hinrich as the point guard to run the squad but gave up the 5th picks which would have easily been Williams, Paul or Felton. All who should be better than Hinrich anyway from day one. Jazz did great here not really hurting themselves and getting a possible better player.

I'm debating on this deal.. i agree at 5 most likely Jazz pick up another pg who probably is better than hinrich in the long run.. BUt it doesnt address his issues as sg, and the pg he drafts wont be ready to really be good until year 2 or 3.. which again means he's wasting KG, and AK's prime.. if you wanta go younger start trading your core guys for more pieces.. if you wanta win your better off keeping hinrich and 19, and trying to package 11 and 19 to move down.. or trying to trade for a true pg..
I say ehh to this deal

Better off for the Sonics.
Kirk Hinrich is a pretty good point guard and like Miami said - he would've ended up with probably Deron Williams at 5. So basically he gets his point guard plus a chance at getting a nice steal at #19.
Utah basically dealt Kirk Hinrich and more for Deron Williams....a point guard who I think might be good but not nearly as great as Kirk Hinrich.

I don't think Hinrich is anything good. If it is anything close to real life, Hinrich doesn't hold a candle to Williams. I'm Illinois biased and everything, but Williams is better than Paul now.

Mario, I apologize for bagging on you in the past. I'm truly sorry. I like the fact that you are active and make comments and shouldn't attempt to bag you for it. Plus, I like this deal for you because I agree in that HInrich isn't all that.

Its cool it makes the league more fun for other people but makes me hate it at times. You don't have to apologize though.

Yup not the best move.. i offered him Redd/RAndolf for AK And 5 on top of that which made a ton of sense for him since hed have a true starting sg, and a young pf in randolf.. not to mention he could have drafted a pg at 11.. instead he gets more guys in spots he has guys, and no backcourt at all, no real cap to sign anyone too.. hopefully mario can trade out of this mess.. otherwise what a waste for the best player in the league KG

Yea now he has no back court and this trade looks bad. Like I said in my article he could of grabbed Wallace and Felton instead he ended up with 5 guys who can play C-PF-SF and no starters at SG/PG.
