I like Rod Strickland too.
Of course he's not offically on the block, and I'd need a starting pg in return.
Washington - Darrell Walker would have to involved in the deal, but I'm not big on his contract or the four year difference in age. It would take something more then Walker to balance the trade.
Orlando - I'd rather have Mookie instead of Vern and I have no interest in Terry Catledge. I'm curious, why won't you offer up your player with a potential of four when you are trying to trade for mine?
As I mentioned before Rod isn't on the block, just giving the courtesy of a response. I'm more then happy to keep Rod. Of course, an offer that undeniably helps my team would change my mind. However, posting "I like Rod Strickland" and an offer of an older pg and an underachieiving small forward reserve hasn't acheived that feeling yet.

However, posting "I like Rod Strickland" and an offer of an older pg and an underachieiving small forward reserve hasn't acheived that feeling yet. The reason is because Blab is no good, and Flemming right now is a top notch passer and frankly Catledge fits perfectly into your system of what looks to be inside. Although neithre Vern or Catledget have A potential, both do have B and are ready to play and start now instead of waiting for Rod and keep a bum like Uwe on your team. I can up the ante by offering you a pick swap in 91 if that interests you, but I do understand your thoughts, I just thought you should know mine. My belief is that Mookie + Catledge > Rod and Uwe. But Vern (who is actually listed as my best player by the game) is someone who I am willing to move, and Catledge did average 17-18 ppg in the NBA this season so he isn't an "underacheiver" he just lacks a strong defensive game, which could improve in TC to look a lot like Marvin Williams from ABCA fame.

I can afford to package Williams and/or Wingate with some salary (Jones/Brickowski) to balance any difference in salary in needed.
I'd be happy with either power forward. Whichever one you value less is fine with me.
All of this is dependant on if you consider Williams a decent back up or not. I can make an offer if you do.

Would you wanna work something like:
Rodney McCray (B- C- C+ A- C C ) Mike Williams ( C+ C C B C- B)
for
Sean Elliot (B- C+ C B C B ) Johnny Newman (B- C C+ C+ D B )
McCray could make your SL have all at least an A- in defense. The only thing you would be giving up is Sean Elliots outside shooting C+ to C-, but with David and Cummings, most of your scoring will come from them on the inside. I can cut Newman a little later if you want to resign him. I mainly added him for cap purposes.
Mookie/ Willie Anderson/ McCray/ Cummings/ DRob (a great defensive lineup, along with 2 great scorers)
