Draft Sleepers
In one of the deepest drafts in recent history here is a look at a few guys that should be around later in the draft, maybe even second round that you may not want to pass on.
C-Pavel Podkolzin C 7’5’’ 20 C D- D C+ B-B
You can’t coach height, and in a league where height is a huge benefit, Pavel will get some serious looks near the end of the first round. Everyone should remember C Jim James Jr. who fell to the second round last year, and ended up making a huge impact as a starter for the Detroit Pistons. His ratings coming in won’t turn any heads, but with a solid training camp, or if drafted by someone who has PP to spare, Pavel could be scary.

PF-David Lee 6’9’’ 22 C+ D+ C- B- C+ B
This draft has a pretty deep class of PF’s, and David Lee seems to be off of most team’s radar. The former Gator is coming into the league, with decent ratings, at a young age. He has a solid inside game and with even an average training camp he should be able to come off the bench and play some solid mins right away.
Also don’t sleep on-Wayne Simien
SF- Antonie Wright 6’7’’ 210 21 C+ B C C+ C B
The SF spot is by far the deepest position in this draft, and because it is so deep teams may forget about the best outside shooter in the draft. Wright can really stroke the ball and will fit in perfectly with an outside offense. If his D can improve in training camp, Wright has the potential to be a starter right away.
Also don’t sleep on-Ryan Gomes
SG- Lenny Cooke 6’6’’ 215 23 B-C+ C C C B
Shooting Guards are bare in this draft, and there may only be 4-5 guys who ever turn into anything decent. But Lenny is a player that is a huge risk, a solid scorer, but his defense is a pretty big red flag. Lenny is still young enough, that if given enough time to improve his defense, his size could really make him a big value.

PG-Luther Head 6’3’’ 185 23 C+ C+ C B C- B
Heads’ college teammate Deron Williams will be picked long before him. But the two have been working out together during this off-season, and Head will be better then many people believe. He has been called a tweener, and it is a toss-up whether to keep him at PG or move him SG, but regardless Head can flat out play. He is one of the best defenders in this draft, and is a solid all around scorer. Given some time, I can see Head as a solid 6th man, coming in at both guard spots.
