National Enquirer
Gm Jayborne, formerly of the LA Clippers, was fired a few days ago amid reports that he was having an inappropriate relationship with the team mascot, Mario Rodriguez.
JAYBORNE
Rodriguez, who gm'd the Utah Jazz for a long time, was given the job by Jayborne. The two had met several years ago at a "What should I do with my life" Conference held in Southern California. When Rodriguez was fired as the Jazz gm, he begged his friend for the mascot position of the Clippers and he has maintained that position and apparently many others for several years.
A reliable source has stated that last Friday, gm Jayborne was found alone on the gym floor when a group of school children came through on a tour. Mario, who wasn't wearing his costume or anything at all, couldn't be reached for comment, but the instance surely hurt his career as a mascot and as a future gm in the ABCA. Jayborne claimed they were only practicing a daring new mascot routine, but video footage of the event proved otherwise and was disturbing.
Inglewood Elementary, the school that was taking the tour, only released the following statement: "We regret the situation that took place at the Staples Center and hope the appropriate action has taken place. The students simply weren't prepared for that and counseling has been made available. Maturation week was next week and we've had to push that off for a month or so. We are proud of our students and only hope they can go see a Laker or Clipper game without becoming confused or vomitous."
The LBA immediately transfered gm Jayborne to the 76ers due to his longevity in the league and his past history of activity. He has stressed that this won't happen again, but that he is excited to be in Philadelphia where he can coach Lebron James and actually make the playoffs. Jayborne managed teams have rarely made the playoffs throughout his tenure, but maybe a change of venue is all he needs to succeed.
The Clippers hired a new gm immediately and are expecting perfect behavior from here on out.
