Nuggets GM Leaves Denver Fans in State of Shock
For Denver Nuggets’ fans, it seems as if doomsday has arrived. The reigning champions are in shock after the announcement that their MVP Chris Paul had hopped on the 10AM flight to Utah to sign with the Jazz. Paul, who is debatably the best point guard in the league, sign a 6-year maximum $93.7 million deal with the Jazz.
“The Jazz came at me with a better offer. I had to do what was best for my family,” said Paul in a conversation over the phone, “No hard feelings towards Denver. They made me into the player I am today.”
However, the conversation took a 180 turn, as Paul had some choice words for the Nuggets’ GM and former teammate Eddie Griffin.
“I was ready to resign on July 1, but this guy comes at me with a low ball offer,” Paul said, “(Expletive) I’m the reigning playoff MVP, man. But hey, ‘Let’s go sign Mr. I Watch Porn While I Drive.’ It’s cool, I still have love for the fans. And I feel sorry for Timmy and Joe. Who’s gonna get them the ball?”
Early last season, there were reports of tension between Paul and Griffin. It was reported that Paul walked in on Griffin “playing with himself” while “watching hardcore pornography” in the game tape room. Paul then reportedly punched Griffin’s testicles yelling expletives and saying, “You got (seamen) all over the Dallas game.”
This report has not been confirmed or denied by either party.
Not only did the Nuggets lose Paul, the GM infuriated fans by wasting a second round pick and subsequently signing St.-Francis of NY guard Faké (pronounced Fah-kay) Player. Player played only 17 minutes in his 4 seasons at St. Francis. He is more known for his off-court issues than he is his on. Player is the only active basketball player at any level to announce his homosexuality. His coming out led to a national debate on homosexuals in sports. He’s seen here (middle) with teammate Jayborne Johnson (right).
“I think Faké will bring a lot to this team,” said the Nuggets GM, “He’s got talent on and off the court. He’ll fit right in. PYAH!”
On a side note, Nuggets’ Lead Scout Tim Hardaway stepped down from his position citing “personal reasons.”
