Habits are hard to break, whether they are good or whether they're bad. They become a part of your thinking, tucked far back in mind away from the new. They only pop-up when threatened by changes. Then they slip off into the back of your mind again, and just when things seem to be going right:
Oopps........
The bad habits jumps out and reveals the it's horribleness.
At least thats what happens with the Los Angeles Clippers. It's become habit for them to loose. Just when things started going right and their future looked outstanding, they still can't get out of the catacombs of the standings poll. As everyone knows they not only had the first pick in the last draft, but also had the second. They drafted as everyone predicted, and then even made a huge move to acquire D-Wade and still no Improvement.
It's become a habit of loosing. Not for the players, but for the organization. Players come to the team with no expectations of winning. Players come to the team in hopes of starting to turn it around, but not to win. The league is not high school or college, it's the pros. You can turn a season or a team around by making a trade or two, or drafting a some young talent. It doesn't take years to rebuild a pro team. The problem is everyone comes here hoping to do better, but not win. This genius display of philosophy is the mother of the Clippers bad habit.
So the Clippers will go into the Draft this year a lotto team again. With the hopes of next year, and at least making the playoffs. When they should go into the next with hopes of winning a championship. I mean they only have Oden, Durrant, D-Wade, and Devon Harris in their starting line-up.
I say if the Clippers at least don't make the play-offs, it's pink slip time.
