Ricky Rubio looks to be the Number 1 Pick
1. Ricky Rubio SG (6'5''/190 lbs/20 Years Old) - Los Angeles Lakers
It’s the perfect pick for them, young talented shooting guard to learn from and soon replace the 35 year old Ray Allen. He is a solid scorer and possibly the best defender, not to mention the best player in the draft. The Lakers get a huge piece to their future in this guy.
Thaddeus Young driving to the hoop for Georgia Tech
2. Thaddeus Young SF (6'8''/217 lbs/ 21 Years Old) - Chicago Bulls
The Bulls need a player that can step into a starting role at the small forward spot, and they get this in Young. He’s the bet inside-out scorer in the draft and can defend very well for a guy his age. He is the most NBA ready guy in the draft and the Bulls get their man at number two.
3. B.J. Mullens C (7'0''/260 lbs/20 Years Old) - New Orleans Hornets
The Hornets are looking for a center of the future, with Aaron Gray and Lloyd Harris fizzling in the NBA. Mullens is probably their man with pretty good skills right now for a big man, but the sky is the limit for this guy. Look for him to improve into a prime-time big man before his career is done.
4. Greg Monroe PF (6'10''/226 lbs/20 Years Old) - New York Knicks
This guy could of probably gone #1, but falls into the Knicks lap at number four. He’s a solid player all around and has tremendous upside, which could develop into a Tim Duncan type player. Look for the Knicks to jump on him if he falls this far on the draft board.
Michael Beasley won MVP at the All-American Game in 2007
5. Michael Beasley PF (6'9''/220 lbs/21 Years Old) - Miami Heat
The Heat are desperately looking for help at the big man. Beasley is a great scorer down low, and is a good rebounder for where he’s at. This guy has tons of room to grow and could develop into a very good NBA player. His size could be a problem though being only 220 pounds at power forward.
Gerald Henderson of Duke blocks Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina
6. Gerald Henderson SG (6'5''/215 lbs/22 Years Old) - Golden State Warriors
With Gordan Giricek’s career winding down, look for the Warriors to draft a future shooting guard with this pick. He plays great defense, and is the number two shooting guard in this draft.
Earl Clark soars to the hoop
7. Earl Clark SF (6'8''/220 lbs/22 Years Old) - Utah Jazz
Clark is a solid player with great potential. The Jazz could go many ways with this pick, but look for them to assess their weak small forward’s. Clark could b their answer.
8. DeAndre Jordan C (7'0''/240 lbs/22 Years Old) - Seattle Supersonics
The Sonics don’t really have a true center, and Jordan will fill that void. He’s a seven footer, great defense and really good potential. He could become an all-star.
9. Tim Ohlbrecht PF (6'11''/235 lbs/22 Years Old) - Detroit Pistons
The Pistons are thin at the big, and Oblbrecht could play either power forward or center. He’s good at defense and rebounding, and has pretty good potential.
10. Jon Scheyer SG (6'5''/180 lbs/22 Years Old) - Indiana Pacers
Scheyer’s a pretty good outside shooter and can play decent defense. This is more of a invest early and see how he develops pick since he has such great potential.
11. Chase Budinger SF (6'7''/215 lbs/22 Years Old) - Minnesota Timberwolves
Budinger could be a good replacement for Abdur-Rahim, if a center or power forward drops to this spot look for the Wolves to jump on them
12. Vernon Macklin PF (6'9''/200/23 Years Old) - New Jersey Nets
They need a young good small forward and look for the Nets to draft Macklin and mold him into a small forward.
13. Brandon Costner PF (6'9''/230 lbs/22 Years Old) - Los Angeles Clippers
Lacking a true power forward this lloks to be the logical pick. He could turn out to be a good player in 2 or 3 years.
14. Ty Lawson PG (5'11''/193 lbs/22 Years Old) - Boston Celtics
They get a gift at number 14, snagging the best point guard in the draft. He could be a great point guard in a few years.
15. Matt Bouldin SG (6'5''/214 lbs/22 Years Old) - Phoenix Suns
The Suns need a shooting guard, and while Bouldin isn’t going to be ready for a few years, he could be a good one.
16. D.J. Augustin PG (5'11''/175 lbs/22 Years Old) - Houston Rockets
Chauncey Billups is getting older and the Rockets maybe looking for a replacement for him, and Augustin could be the guy for the job.
17. Jerryd Bayless PG (6'4''/193 lbs/21 Years Old) - New York Knicks
Bayless is a solid player all-around, probably isn’t ready to start for a couple years, but could turn into a player.
18. Raymar Morgan SF (6'7''/225 lbs/21 Years Old) - Orlando Magic
Has pretty good handles for a young guy and has room to get better over the next few years.
19. Kyle Singler SF (6'9''/210 lbs/22 Years Old) - Memphis Grizzlies
A very talented player, but his only drawback is how little he can grow a s a player. He might be as good as he can get.
20. Greivis Vasquez SG (6'5''/195 lbs/23 Years Old) - Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets are very thin at shooting guard and will probably select the best available shooting guard with number 20.
21. Raymar Morgan SF (6'7''/225 lbs/21 Years Old) - New Orleans Hornets
The Hornets will use this pick to get the guy with best potential, Morgan is the guy at this point with average skills, but great potential.
22. Jonathan Tavernari SG (6'6''/215 lbs/22 Years Old) - Chicago Bulls
Pretty average player, but could turn into a good player down the road. Bulls are thin at shooting guard so they prolly will look that way.
23. J.J. Hickson C (6'10''/230 lbs/20 Years Old) - New York Knicks
A pick for the future, they will be looking for potential and not immediate fixes and Hickson looks to be their guy here.
24. DaJuan Summers SF (6'8''/241 lbs/22 Years Old) - New York Knicks
Another guy for the future, the Knicks are probably just going to look for good potential guys around at every position.
25. Artem Zabelin PF (7'1''/210/22 Years Old) - Atlanta Hawks
With the 7 foot 1 frame he has room to grow, and weighing only 210 lbs he will need to. He could eventually be pretty good.
26. Scottie Reynolds SG (6'2''/195 lbs/22 Years Old) - Sacramento Kings
Thin at shooting guard the Kings will try and draft a guy for the future, Reynolds may or may not be that guy.
27. Brook Lopez PF (7'0''/240 lbs/22 Years Old) - New Jersey Nets
Could be the steal of the draft, at 7 feet and with pretty good potential he could turn out to be a good player someday.
28. Adrian Oliver PG (6'3''/185 lbs/22 Years Old) - Portland Trailblazers
Looking for a little more depth at the guards, Oliver looks to be their guy with great potential.
29. Derrick Brown SF (6'7''/210 lbs/22 Years Old) - New Jersey Nets
Best fit for New Jersey if Macklin doesn’t work out at small forward.
