Oden has been the main course of many discussions for some time now. When he's playing poor, good, or decent it never seems to be enough.
After last years Training Camp and his poor performance through the last two seasons, there shouldn't be any question of why people question his talent.
Coach Purser stated: "I don't know whats going on with Oden. he came in his first year absolutely on fire, but half way through the season started lagging and dragging his feet. It was almost like he was exhausted."
Oden's playing time had not only been cut in half, but for a while he was only seeing between 15 and 20 minutes a game. It seemed he was lacking hustle, drive, and want to.
Now the question is was it his lack of just that or was he playing impaired.
After this past season there was a scheduled meeting for team members. Everyone was there with the exception of Greg Oden. Kevin Durant being a friend by default, was sent to check up on Oden.
Oden was found passed out and dehydrated with a computer key board in his hand. Upon further inspection, Durant discover that Oden was a closet World of WarCraft Addict.
Durant also found that Oden was wearing shoulder pads and a chest plate made of tin-foil, a paper Machie helmet (that resembled a viking horded helmet), knee high lace-up sandals, and a wool blanket around his neck like a cape.
Like many adolescents, Oden had become an WOW junky. Playing the game into the wee hours of the morning. Engulfing himself into the computer game.
D-Wade: "I always wondered why he started referring to himself as, Kendobo the Dark. I thought maybe he was joking, but now I see he was really on the inside begging for Help."
Jim James Jr.: "Come to think about it we should have suspected something by the way he had been dressing. He would always ask at practice, Coach what is our quest this time. I was like quest, bio*ch Shut the F*ck up."
Since Oden has been sent to Rehab and is expected to make a full recovery. He been checked into the Wild Horses Center in Amsterdam. Their video game rehab program, which was started by addiction specialists Smith and Jones, is designed to help you replace the excitement of the fantasy world with real world experiences such as therapy sessions and group interaction.
Oden has agreed to hold a press conference upon his release from rehab. Until then we'll keep you further posted on his changes.
....Allegid pic of Oden going to Rehab.
