Am I the only one who thinks that this move was made to build a team around Oden?
They have a solid reliable PG in Dre Miller, solid backup in Kevin Ollie. Young stud swingmen in Iguodala/Carney. WIth solid backups in Korver/Jones (shooter and defender), Green. Good veteren presence in Chris Webber.
This team is perfect for a superstar bigman. Have their own lottery pick and 2 first rounders (Denver/Dallas).
I think that it was the right move for them.

As for Denver- too many egos. I really think this team will implode (especially with George Karl as coach).

Denver will suck. In ABCa this would be a great deal, but in real life Denver will have too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Miller will be great for Philly and make Korver 5 points a game better. Philly did great here. Denver gets a ton of seats filled, but won't accomplish much more. I really worry about the shots going around there.

i think that it's a great trade for both teams. that sure is a lot of ego on one team though...

yes, but who starts at what? Does Iverson play point? If not, does Jr. Smith? What about Boykins?
If Boykins starts and AI plays 2 then they have two guys under 6 foot playing. They will have serious matchup problems with teams. Philly always had a tough time with Iverson defensively because he was mismatched all the time at the two guard.
They have to go Iverson, Smith, Anthony and go from there. They will be very good, but we can all this turning bad quickly. It ruined Stackhouse, Larry Hughes, Chris Webber and many others. We'll see what happens. I know that if Iverson takes the ball up the court Carmelo won't be scoring 32 a game anymore.

Boykins has been an ideal sixth man, and there is no way they would want a small backcourt.
I'm sure that Ivy will play the point. AND I'm sure that with 3 scorers in Ivy/Smith/Melo at the 1/2/3, with only one ball to go around would have some problems.

JR Smith is gonna continue what hes been doing.... get dunks on breaks and shoot 3's to space the floor.... the nuggets dont run plays for him now.... hell the nuggets dont run many plays at all they just run no one says this shit about the suns... the suns take 83.3 shots a game as a team.... 71.6 of those shots are Amare, Marion, Nash, Bell, Barbosa and Diaw the nuggets get up 85fga's a game... and i expect that number will go up to about 90

Notice how the Suns have a PG who can distribute and allow everyone to get theirs.

Notice how the Suns have a PG who can distribute and allow everyone to get theirs. Iverson has averaged 7apg like the last 3-4 seasons... and thats with a bunch of nobodys to convert those passes to buckets and the suns thing has more to do with tempo then Nash.... cause when Nash is on the bench the ball dont stop moving....

Iverson gets alot of assists, but he is still a score-first player.
Take a look at his career, his teams have been better when Iverson has been the SG.

Iverson has played with young Stackhouse and Larry Hughes and ruined both of them. This will be tough on Carmelo because he wont' be scoring as much anymore. Iverson dominates the ball. I know that Iverson never played with anyone as good as Carmelo before but they won't get as many shots up now because Miller is gone. If someone is ahead of him he passes to them. Smith will be non existent now. Just watch and see.
